Body Art: Tattoos!

Hey guys!

I have always loved tattoos, ever since I was small I remember always wanting one (or two or several...). The first tattoos I remember seeing were my dad's. I thought that they looked so cool and I wanted one right then. The tattoos I have wanted and thankfully never got have ranged from kermit the frog to moons and stars.

So instead of getting something that was already done, I spent a long time working with a tattoo artist to help me create a personal, one of a kind tattoo. This baby is a work of art, he did a fabulous job putting it on this canvas of skin. Each bit has a special meaning to me and reminds me of what's important to me when I start to forget. (The hard part is that it's on my back! HAHAHAHA!) Anyways, I have the itch to add to it now. It's been several years since I've gotten this piece done. And since then I have a few more symbols to add to it.

Here is a peak, I have yet to get someone to take a picture of my whole back.

The two big symbols that need to be added are my two newest baby girls. I've worked on a few symbols and have decided that one will be a little ham (we called her ham while she was baking in the oven) and the other a bumble bee (she is cute but spicy, she'll probably sting you!). I still haven't figured out size and placement, but I need to talk to an artist to figure out how much detail I can have squeezed in without the lines bleeding into one another. Anyway here are some of the sketches for it:

So these are just sketches and I will work on something more final once I talk to a tattoo artist. On that note! Any recommendations for an artist in the southern california area? I'm willing to drive a bit. Anyway, later I want to have a full sleeve on my left arm...Oh but that's a while off I think.

Dying to get a new tattoo!
Love,

Liz
